Alla Kachan is a bankruptcy attorney with substantial real-world and academic experience in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters. Her primary area of expertise is debtor and creditor rights in the areas of consumer and commercial debt. She specializes in creating and evaluating customized debt and asset analyses and preparing detailed, tailored solutions and recommendations for clients.

Ms. Kachan also has significant experience in non-bankruptcy solutions for clients, including debt, judgment and business negotiations and repayment plans. Ms. Kachan has effectively advocated for clients in negotiations with banks, credit card, leasing and financing companies, reaching optimal and timely resolutions in consumer debt collection matters. She also has experience representing clients who have been victims of predatory lending and illegal consumer debt collection practices.

Prior to RSF&B, Ms. Kachan was a partner in a bankruptcy law practice, successfully representing consumers and business owners in complex Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings.

While in law school, Ms. Kachan completed two consecutive internships in the Legal Aid Society Bankruptcy Unit and has appeared in a number of community media outlets on issues of consumer debt settlement and creditor rights.

Ms. Kachan earned her JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA in Political Science from New York University.
