Barry Janay counsels and advises clients in pre-litigation negotiation, mediation, arbitration and in-court litigation of lawsuits. He has extensive experience in commercial collections of past due accounts, represented employers against dishonest employees, defended commercial and foreign businesses against claims of commercial torts and secured debt obligations through confessions of judgment and personal guarantees.

Mr. Janay has experience in handling commercial law, business law, consumer and commercial collections and judgment enforcement, insurance coverage law, intellectual property law, and select civil rights law matters. Mr. Janay has litigated disputes involving: corporate law, breach of contract, trademark and copyright infringement claims, theft or misappropriation of trade secrets, as well as employment law matters.

Mr. Janay received a J.D. and a M.B.A from Golden Gate University, and a BA from Rollins College. He is admitted to practice before all New York State Unified Court System courts, as well as the United States Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
