Jay Rick is the founder of the firm and has nearly 50 years of legal experience. He is a substantial presence on the New York law scene, especially in his areas of expertise: banking and real estate, domestic and international trade financing and secured transactions.

For decades, he guided the firm to its preeminence and continues as a pivotal legal influence, representing numerous blue-chip clients.  During his distinguished career, Mr. Rick has represented many banks, domestic and foreign, including multi-national ones, and other financial institutions. His practice continues to focus on all aspects of banking, including all varieties of lending. In addition, he represents quasi-governmental agencies that administer government funded loan programs and government guaranteed bond issues.  He has also represented companies in the business of foreign exchange trading.

In his real estate practice, Mr. Rick has been active in the area of co-op and condominium acquisitions and divestitures for high net worth individuals.

Mr. Rick earned his JD from Yale Law School in 1954.
